If you’re looking for a full body workout with cardiovascular benefits, helps to reduce blood pressure, and benefits weight loss too, then you should consider swimming. Most do not realize that swimming is actually better than running or even weight training and the good news is, anyone at any age can do it. Swimming incorporates all of the bodies major muscle groups; upper body, core and legs, while also providing an excellent cardio workout, your heart and lungs will thank you. If you plan to use swimming for weight loss, you’ll need to consider the workout intensity, creating and sticking to a good nutrition plan, and don’t be afraid to seek help from a swim coach to learn good technique. Lastly, swimming requires little equipment. You’ll just need a good swim suit and googles to get started.
