Five healthy, delicious and easy to make at home snacks…

Banana ice cream

Cut or break three or four bananas into one inch chunks and freeze them. Once frozen add to food processor or Ninja and blend until smooth. If you like, add strawberries, blueberries, walnuts, chocolate chips as a topping. To make chocolate ice cream simply add one or two teaspoons of cocoa powder.

Banana oat cookies

3 bananas
1 3/4 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Heat oven to 350. Mash three bananas until smooth, add all ingredients and stir to mix well. Place on non-stick baking sheet and bake for 10-14 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes and serve.

Berry bowl

Add fresh blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, or any of your favorite berries to a large bowl. Be sure to wash/rinse them first and then refrigerate until cold. If you like drizzle with melted 72% dark chocolate. Now this is eating the colors!

Air popped pop corn

Popcorn is great anytime provided you don’t cover it in butter or cheesy toppings. It’s also very easy to make. Get yourself an air popper, add corn kernels and enjoy a healthy snack with your next movie or when you have the munchies!

Apple slices with peanut or almond butter

This is a quick and easy snack to make anytime and includes a protein boost. Slice apples however you prefer, add peanut or almond butter and serve. But feel free to get creative, add raisins, shaved almonds, blueberries, or drizzle with dark chocolate
